Dr. James Yang started pursuing his life as a calligrapher after his retirement. James Yang taught English literature at a University in Taiwan before 2011. After he retired, he went back to Bloomington, where he gained his Ph.D. in English literature. “Do I still want to teach English?” Yang ask. His answer is no. Dr. Yang said he wanted to pursue his root in the culture which presented by calligraphy. In this video, Dr. Yang described the deep reason why he wanted to pursue calligraphy.
